Hopes of a hattrick for Eamonn Treacy were dashed at the World Championships over the weekend.
The Carlow man took the top spot for the first time in 2014 and then again in 2015.
However, at the World Championships in York this weekend, he was narrowly beaten by Andrew Mitchell from Scotland.
But he says he’s not disappointed and is more than happy to have won two 1sts and a 2nd in three years.
Eamonn told KCLR Live this morning that his sights are now firmly set on retaining his national title at the Ploughing Championships in Tullamore next week
