Carlow principal supports ban on prioritising baptised children in Catholic schools

A local principal has offered his support to a proposal that a ban be put on Catholic schools giving preference to baptised children.

Simon Lewis from Carlow Educate Together was reacting to Education Minister, Jan O Sullivan’s statement that schools should no longer be allowed to pick and choose children based on their faith.

Speaking to KCLR, Simon says he doesn’t agree with the system that’s in place at the moment and he says it’s a form of inequality.
