Over €3.3 million has been awarded to businesses in Carlow under the Governments Increased Cost of Business scheme.
Just under 1,100 hundred SME’s in Carlow received almost €2.2 million in the first tranche of payments while a further 509 businesses received just over €1.2 million between them in support in the second round of payments.
The scheme helps Small and Medium businesses with increased costs associated with running a business.
Local TD Jennifer Murnane O’Connor says its more important than ever to support local businesses…
“They’re the life and blood of County Carlow and these are the small SMEs that need that extra support. It’s important and I’m always saying, shop local, support local, keep jobs local and this is what this is all about to make sure that we maintain the business we have.”
