A man in his 20’s is still being held at Carlow Garda station this morning after being arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Murt Brennan yesterday.
The 46 year old was found with stab wounds after Gardai were called to a house in Frederick Avenue in Carlow at around 1.30 yesterday afternoon.
A forensic examination of the scene has been taking place and a post-mortem on the victims body is expected today.
