A local TD says it’s only a matter of time before the Garda Station in Leighlinbridge reopens.
It follows the publication of the Garda Report over the weekend which recommends the reopening of the station because of the increase in population, its proximity to the M9 motorway, and also vulnerability to mobile criminals.
Fine Gael’s Pat Deering says this process began about 18 months ago after a local Joint Policing Committee Meeting.
