Carlow Tesco workers to take to picket lines this Thursday

It’s looking increasingly likely that workers at Tesco in Carlow will be on strike tomorrow (26th May).
It comes after talks between Mandate Trade Union and Tesco broke down at the workplace relations commission.
The local workers are striking in a row over pay cuts, the slashing of overtime, changes to rosters and the cuts to pay for unsociable hours.
Carlow is just one of 70 stores nationwide who will be on strike from 7am Thursday morning.
Speaking to KCLR, Betty Dillon, South East divisional organiser for Mandate says striking is the last thing they wanted
And she says they are available for talks with Tesco to try and avoid this imminent strike
