Funeral arrangements have been made for two local men who died in a horrific crash on the Carlow/Laois border yesterday morning.

The local community is coming to terms with the news after the two young men were named yesterday evening.

TJ McCormack, in his 20’s, from Carlow Town and Thomas Hurley, in his 30’s, from Graiguecullen lost their lives when the motorbike they were travelling on collided with a van near Arles on the main Carlow to Portlaoise road between 5.30 and 6am.

The van driver was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured in the incident.
