An ‘Indian summer’ is expected throughout the country this week.
We can expect temperatures of between 17 to 20 degrees today.
The long-term outlook suggests it will remain warm, dry and calm for the rest of the week.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather says; “Sunshine across most areas and temperatures getting up to 20 degrees, 21 maybe even, a little bit cooler near the East coast in an easterly breeze”.
He adds; “No rain is expected really up until at least Friday and possibly even only a few showers into next weekend, the amount of sun will vary, there will be some cloud around but there will be a lot of clear sky”.
It’s as many are preparing for the National Ploughing Championships which get underway tomorrow in Ratheniska, Co Laois.
