The Chair of Carlow’s Local Community and Safety Partnership is moving to allay fears of knife crimes.
It comes as emergency services were called to an incident in the Staplestown Road area of Carlow town shortly before 12noon yesterday.
One man aged in his fifties was taken to St Luke’s General Hospital with injuries that are understood to be non life threatening while another man aged in his forties was arrested and is undergoing questioning.
Cllr Michael Doran, who heads up the newly formed LCSP, has been telling KCLR News’ Martin Quilty that such incidents are isolated;
