CAS will split the city- Noonan
A local Councillor has said that the Central Access Scheme will sever a large part of the community off from the rest of Kilkenny.
Speaking to KCLR news, Malcolm Noonan says it’s not a sustainable project, given the environmental and social aspects of the plan.
Protest groups have been stopping heavy goods vehicles from accessing the site where work on the new bridge crossing is to begin.
The Green Party councillor’s criticism comes after the council agreed to hear formal presentations from groups opposing the Central Access Scheme on 21st July.
