Castlecomer bids to kick-start job creation in the area

A new training centre is being opened in Castlecomer today as part of efforts to kick start job creation in the area.

The event ties in with a seminar on rural job creation which is taking place at the local enterprise centre.

Minister of State for Small Business John Perry is doing the honours and he’ll be joined by people from Enterprise Ireland.

Local Councillor John Brennan says there hasn’t been much happening jobs wise in North Kilkenny since the loss of the mines and closures of local factories there.
