As one bus service is retained in a local town, another will be gone by Christmas.
Locals in Castlecomer have today got confirmation that their stop will remain on the Dublin-Kilkenny route operated by Bus Éireann for another year.
However, the 2nd bus service through the town – that goes from Castlecomer to Naas – will finish in January.
Speaking to KCLR News, Councillor Maurice Shortall says only an average of 10 people a week use that service.
