Castlecomer Community School doing 12 hour cycle for sports facilities at the school

A local school will cycle for 12 hours straight today in Kilkenny City to raise money for sports facilities there.

Castlecomer Community School is running the event at the Town Hall from 8am to 8pm where they’ll cycle stationary bikes to try and make enough money for a new dressing room and gym complex.

Sean Murphy is an English teacher there, he says students have been busy with sponsorships cards and they’ll be on the bikes as will some of the teachers.
