Kathleen Funchion says she would welcome any developments that would allow for greater accessibility or affordability in terms of childcare.
The Sinn Fein Councillor has been speaking in relation to Minister James Reillys new proposals which include extending parental leave and new measures on pre-school care.

Councillor Funchion is due to be confirmed as the Sinn Fein General Election candidate at a convention in Carlow later.
She says she hopes this new Government plan on childcare is genuine.
