Dublin and it’s surrounds are out-performing the rest of the country when it comes to tourism.
Figures released yesterday by the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation, show there was a 9% increase in tourist-spending in Ireland last year which amounts to an extra almost 300 million euro.
However, speaking to KCLR News, Chairman of Kilkenny Tourism, Colin Ahern, says though 2014 was a good year, he fears that areas like Carlow and Kilkenny may end up being left behind.
