Carlow’s gold in the Entente Florale is the result of everybody’s hard work.
So says the Cathaoirleach of the county council after the town was awarded in the European tidy towns style contest.
It and the other Irish entry Ballinahown, Westmeath both took the medal with the local grouping also winning the President award for rainbeds on Station Road and Dublin Road while Delta got a mention too.
