If you would like to help shape the future of Castlecomer, now is your chance.
The local area plan is under review with an anonymous four-minute online Health Check Survey set up which you’re invited to complete to help ascertain what the challenges and opportunities are.
You can also call into the Planning Office at Kilkenny County Council’s County Hall or Castlecomer Local Area Office.
An in-person, public information session will take place at the Castlecomer Library between 3:30pm and 5pm and again from 6-8pm on Tuesday, 23rd of July where those interested can ask questions of the local planning team.
Cllr John Brennan says it’s a process he hopes many will engage with telling KCLR News; “It’s huge, yeah, because there is plans to bring Aldi to Castlecomer which hopefully will be going ahead early next year, you have a lot of new housing developments waiting to get the green light, the new plan for Castlecomer is going to be exciting and I’d be asking and hoping that the local public will have a big input into the making of that plan”.
