An initiative to help make the streets of Kilkenny safer has been launched this morning.
Various stakeholders have come on board to get ‘Kilkenny cares’ up and running including the Gardai, local vintners, tourism and business associations.
Speaking to KCLR at the launch earlier Garda Superintendent in Kilkenny Padraig Dunne was eager to get across the message that Gardai are there for locals 24/7.
Mayor Joe Malone says its vital that everyone take responsibility for keeping our streets safe.
