CK United have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of their inaugural FAI National League campaign.
The club has announced the signing of Dean Denieffe Kelly, a player widely regarded as one of the finest to emerge from the Carlow League.
Kelly joins after an outstanding spell with New Oak and brings an impressive footballing résumé, having also represented Wexford FC, SETU Carlow and the Leinster FA Amateur Representative side.
CK United have also secured the signature of vastly experienced defender Ethan Boyle.
Boyle brings a wealth of experience to the club, having played for Shamrock Rovers, Waterford, Linfield and Wexford. He has also featured in both UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League qualifying campaigns and boasts more than 275 senior appearances.
CK United have been unveiling their panel gradually in recent weeks as preparations continue for the launch of the new National League.
Among the latest additions are Owen McCormack, Jordan Harmon, Emmet Nugent, Shane Barnes, Adam Coyne, Mamadou Doumbia, Lord Afrifa and Daniel McGrath.
The club has also shown its commitment to youth by promoting four academy players into the senior setup, with Liam McDonell, Isaac Emmanuel, Timmy Adeleye and Daragh O’Neill all earning places in the first-team squad.
With experienced campaigners joining exciting local talent, and work continuing behind the scenes at Buckley Park ahead of the club’s first home fixtures, momentum continues to build as CK United prepare to represent Carlow and Kilkenny on the national stage for the very first time.
