Clean-up starts today on unfinished estate in South Kilkenny

After more than 10 years, works are starting today on tidying up an unfinished housing estate in South Kilkenny.

Brookfield Estate in Ballyhale was recently taken in charge by the county council.

Half of it is lived in and the other half is undeveloped.

Local councillor David Kennedy says it’s taken a long time to get to this point.

He says the first stage is to tidy up the area where people are already living and then to follow that up with getting the rest of the homes ready to live-in.
