Almost €10,000 worth of copper has been stolen from two ESB substations in the Kilkenny area over the past two weeks.
Around €4,000 of this was taken from the substation at Moate Park in Ballyragget between eight on Friday evening and seven on Sunday morning.

A further €5,000 was stolen from the ESB substation on the Dublin Road a week earlier.
Gardaí believe the two incidents are linked and are keen for anybody with information to contact them – the city station’s on 056 777 5000.
