Comedy award for Moone Boy

Moone Boy picked up the prize for Best Sitcom at the British Comedy awards.

Written by Kilkenny native Nick Vincent Murphy its yet another award for the highly successful production which features Chris o Dowd – They collected an Emmy award last year for it.

And it wasnt the only Irish success last night Brendan O’Carroll won the Writers Guild of Great Britain award for ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’.

Aisling Bea won the title of Best Female TV Comic, while Graham Norton celebrated a double win, taking home Best Programme and Best Personality.
