A North Kilkenny community has written to the Gardai and public representatives to ask where they stand in terms of policing.
Locals in Galmoy claim they have been forgotten about since the closure of the Garda station in Johnstown saying its quite clear that there are no longer sufficient Garda resources on the ground.

In the letter they detail a range of incidents which have happened recently in the area from boy racers doing doughuts to break-ins and burglaries at local homes.
Spokesperson John McGuire told Sue Nunn this morning that people are terrified.
