Concerns over blaze burning in Clashduff since Thursday

Concerns are being raised in relation to a fire burning on a farm in the Clashduff area of Castlecomer.

Local residents have contacted KCLR to express their worries over the blaze thats been burning since yesterday now.

Kilkenny county council has confirmed that 2 enforcement officers were sent out this morning to investigate.

The fire service attended yesterday – they’ve confirmed its still smoldering and locals say its unacceptable that its been left burning.

They’re worried about the affect the fumes may be having on people and animals living in the area and say they dont know if they should move out of their homes or not.
