The Way It Is

Connolly’s Red Mills Cheltenham Preview Programme – 27/2/2020

On The Way it Is and the Farm Show

We had a brilliant night the Connolly’s Red Mills retail store at Cillín Hill on Thursday 27th when we broadcast live from 5:30 until 8:00. We combined both The Way It Is and The Farm Show on the night when both Sue Nunn and Matt O’Keeffe co-hosted the Cheltenham Preview show.

We had a range of people on our panel and in the audience including jockey Danny Mullins, trainer John Shark Hanlon and jockey and TV pundit Jane Mangan. We heard about the breeding and feeding of our top class national Hunt horses as they prepare for the Cheltenham festival and we got our tipsters to mark your cards. There was advice on what to wear on the racecourse, how you might invest in a horse and how to survive the four day festival and we looked back at some of the great days for Irish horses at Cheltenham, thanks to Connolly’s Red Mills who are sponsoring this pre-Cheltenham show.

We also heard about an upcoming Open Day in Kildalton College from Crea English.

Jane Davis, Marketing Manager at Connolly’s Red Mills spoke to Matt about equine nutrition and gave a sense of the history of company, while Ailish Durkan spoke with Sue about festival fashion and the range available at the retail outlet.

We had an enthusiastic audience who took part and took copious notes!
