Container load of supplies to head from Carlow to Cameroon as part of charity drive

A container load of wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches and other supplies collected by a charity group in Carlow is bound for Cameroon.
‘A Little Hope’ was set up by nurses at St Dympna’s Hospital in Carlow on foot of stories from a colleague of theirs who is from Cameroon where hospitals and medical centres are very poorly equipped.
Two years on and the group is ready to pack and ship its first container load of medical and other essential supplies.
Maree O’Shea is one of the founders and chairperson, she told The Way it is this equipment could change people’s lives over there.
