Carlow Town Council has confirmed that election posters were removed by council staff at Kennedy Avenue last Friday afternoon.
A spokesperson told KCLR news that the posters were taken down as per protocol adopted by Members of the Town Council and any removed are available for candidates to collect at the Town hall.

According to council protocol posters are not allowed on Tullow St, Potato Market or Kennedy Avenue.
But one candidate claims that while his posters and others were removed, some still remain up.
