There are renewed calls for security measures to be installed in Carlow Town Park.
Yesterday an elderly couple and their grandson were attacked by a group of youths while on a boat on the river.
It’s believed their belongings were thrown into the river by the group.
Its the latest incident there – all of the life bouys in the area were also destroyed in recent weeks.
Councillor Fintan Phelan says the park should be a safe environment.
