County Council say they had to remove recycling facilities from a Carlow village over safety concerns

Carlow County Council say they had to remove the recycling facilities from a rural village because of health and safety concerns.

A number of Bilboa residents have been questioning why the bottle banks were taken away and no new ones put in place.

However, Council Environment Officer, Janette O’Brien says it happened as a result of a safety audit by the collection company after a driver was severely injured because of overhead wires in another location.
