Court appearance due for person arrested in connection with death of man in county Waterford

A court appearance is expected later this morning for a man who’s been charged in connection with a fatal assault in County Waterford.

A man aged in his seventies was pronounced dead after being discovered with serious injuries outside a house in Cappagh, shortly after 6pm on Monday evening.

The person arrested at the scene, who’s aged in his forties, is due to appear before Carrick-on-Suir District Court around 10.30am.
