Court appearance due today for four men arrested in connection with seizure of improvised explosive devices in Kildare

Four people are due in court today in connection with the seizure of improvised explosive devices in Kildare.

Gardaí arrested the men earlier this week as part of their investigations targeting criminal activity in that county.

A car had been intercepted in the Carbury area in which 19 petrol bombs were recovered.

The four adults are expected to appear before Naas District Court later this morning.

Investigations continue.

Meanwhile, separately, which dealing with the above incident, Gardaí were confronted by a man aged in his late forties who was armed with a knife.

He was arrested, has since been charged and appeared before Naas District Court yesterday.
