A group of cyclists brought an estimated 50 thousand euro boost to Carlow as they stayed overnight in the town before heading off on stage 2 of the An Post Rás this morning.
The riders are well on their way to Tipperary Town now which will host todays stage finish.
They left Carlow at 11 passing through Kilkenny shortly before midday before crossing the border to Tipperary where they will stay tonight before moving on to Galway tomorrow.
