Day two of the National Ploughing Championships is dawning and it seems the sun’s set to shine down yet again.
Farmers flocking to Ratheniska yesterday were delighted to find themselves basking in warm sunshine.
That’s due to a “stalled” high pressure system, which has driven up temperatures across the entire country.
Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather is forecasting; “Another fine day ahead, now there will be some patches of fog about this morning, that will clear and it will warm up again and there will be plenty of blue skies across most of the country again, temperatures getting up above 20 degrees in many areas with a glorious day, simply beautiful once again”.
