Dead horse left at side of road on busy road into Kilkenny City

A local man was left horrified earlier today after spotting a dead horse on the side of the road in Kilkenny.

Derek Devoy was driving out to the roundabout that leads out to the M9 motorway from the city when he seen the pony still tied to a pole in the heavy rain.

Pictures of the horse have been posted on Facebook and Twitter today.

The local taxi driver says there’s other horses in the field close by.
