A horse that died following a crash on the Waterford road in Kilkenny yesterday has now been removed from the scene.
Contractors took the animal away on behalf of the council this morning – it had to be put down yesterday afternoon following the incident near Foulkstown.
It’s led to a call from the KSPCA for Sulky racing to be banned on all public roads in Kilkenny – they’ve appealed to the authorities not to wait for another horse to die.
Newly elected leas Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny county council Pat McKee says its not acceptable in this day and age.
