Carlow and Kilkenny county councils are seeking funding submissions from artists for this year’s Culture Night.
Each year venues across the country throw open their doors for a host of free events – for 2026 it rolls out on the 18th September with an application deadline of the 20th of May for funding from local authorities, which is limited.
Kilkenny Arts Officer Mary Butler would be delighted to hear from first time applicants in particular as she told KCLR News; “Every year we have our, kindof, stable engagers if you know what I mean but also, yeah, absolutely open to new applicants as well and also I think it’s worth bearing in mind that, you know, Ireland will be I suppose in the middle of the EU Presidency at the time so it would be nice to get other cultures involved as well so like I said we’re open broadly to applications”.
More here while her Carlow counterparts too are looking for expressions of interest to get in touch.
