Their opening episode is a Kilkenny story – the events at Carrickshock in 1831 which are legendary locally, but not widely known outside the local area.
The Póilíní Podcast brings listeners on a journey through stories from the history of Irish policing, stretching over 200 years. Each week, the podcast will take a story from our ‘Policeman’s Notebook’ to paint a picture of incredible – often untold – events, looking at the lives of serving members, their families and society in Ireland and beyond. These are stories of Duty and Danger, Life and the Law, Police and Perpetrators.
