Diesel seized following blaze at derelict house

Kilkenny fire service dealt with a blaze at a derelict house on the outskirts of the city last night.

2 units were called to the fire at Hebron House. The blaze was brought under control quickly. It’s understood that rubbish was burning there.

Meanwhile Gardai called to the incident later recovered a significant quantity of diesel in plastic containers and some siphoning equipment.

Its been seized and will undergo technical examinations.
