Today’s date is hugely significant for some while others say it’s a modern construct, the traditional aspect of which has been changed.
The sixth of January is the Catholic Feast of the Epiphany but many have used it as Little Christmas, the official end to the festive season when decorations come down and are put away for another year.
But for others it’s become known as Nollaig na mBan, a celebration of women especially those who would have worked hard serving up festivities for family and friends.
Gatherings and events often take place but what do we really think of it all?
