Gardai and the family of Billy Dooley have expressed their gratitude to dozens of volunteers who had been searching for the missing Castlecomer man in the past week.
The search for the 26 year old was called off last night after a body was found in the village
A postmortem is expected to be carried out today but Gardai are not treating it as suspicious.
