Drivers urged to take extra care this bank holiday weekend

Motorists across Carlow and Kilkenny are being urged to take extra care on the roads this bank holiday weekend.
It’s expected to be particularly busy on our roads as Ireland celebrates the 1916 festivities.
Gardaí are urging locals to be extra vigilant as you travel, and to allow extra time for your journeys.
Drivers are also being urged to wear their safety belt and ensure all passengers are properly stabbed in.
It comes after figures for last year show 1 in 4 drivers – who lost their lives – weren’t wearing a seatbelt.
Gardaí will be out in force this bank holiday weekend.
