€160,000 to get Carlow & Kilkenny ready for tourist season

Kilkenny peace park which is in line for 11 thousand euro

90 thousand is being spent in Kilkenny and 70 thousand in Carlow on getting ready for tourist season

Back in March it was revealed that 160 thousand euro had been granted between the 2 counties and now the projects set to benefit from that funding have been unveiled.

30 communities across Carlow including Fenagh, Bagenalstown, Rathvilly, Old Leighlin & Borris will share in 70 thousand with the biggest award to Carlow Town.

In Kilkenny places like Woodstock, the Peace park and Castlecomer Discovery park will each get their share while Tidy towns committees across the county are also set to benefit
