A €2.5 million euro road improvement scheme for two local sections of road has been given the go-ahead by Kilkenny County Council.
Work is set to start on upgrading the N77 Conahy to Ballyragget and the N78 from Hennebry’s Cross to the Cave Bar.
Local Councillor, Pat Fitzpatrick says this is great news for the area because a large amount of people travel on those roads every day and they’ve fallen into disrepair.
He says this is on top of the road works that have already been carried out on both these roads recently.
Councillor Fitzpatrick told KCLR News they’ll now both be safer to travel on.
