Two people have been arrested in connection with the seizure of more than €200,000 worth of suspected drugs in county Waterford.
The discovery in Lismore came yesterday (Monday, 9th March) as part of a multi-agency, intelligence-led operation which involved Gardaí and Revenue officials.
10.35kg of what’s understood to be herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €207,000 with further products believed to contain THC, valued at €22,000, were found and will be subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
A man aged in his forties and a woman aged in her thirties were arrested and have been detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in the county.
