€3million euro worth of illegal vapes and cannabis-based products have been picked up in five counties, including Carlow and Wexford.
Gardaí made the seizures in a series of raids on properties, also in Longford, Mayo and Roscommon, as they targeted what’s believed to be an organised crime group involved in the sale and supply of such items across the country.
Over 100 officers were involved in the sting, between them from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), national specialist units and relevant units within each of the counties.
Their haul also includes €235,000 in cash with a further £3,000 in sterling and $3,500 in US dollars as well as a number of high-value vehicles.
