€40,000 promised for Thomastown library after recent flooding

40 thousand euro has been promised to a local library affected by flooding in recent weeks.
Thomastown Library was one of many buildings that fell victim to the severe flooding over Christmas and the New Year with thousands of euro worth of damage being done.
The premises is still closed and they say that it will be until further notice.
There is some good news today though as it’s been announced that 20 thousand euro is being granted through the humanitarian fund for repair works and that figure will also be matched by Kilkenny County Council.
