Éamonn Tracey retains National Ploughing title and will again represent Ireland at World Championships

Carlow ploughman, Éamonn Tracey, is Africa-bound next year.

The Garryhill native is heading to the World Ploughing Championships, which are being held in Kenya in 2017, to represent Ireland.

Yesterday he won his 7th consecutive National title at the Championships in Tullamore.

His father John also came in 4th place.

The Tracey family made ploughing history by having three generations competing at the same time and Éamonn told KCLR News today that it was a great day for them.
