Early Years workers could receive 10% pay rise to boost recruitment and retention

Early years workers are in line for a 10 per cent pay rise.

The sector’s Joint Labour Committee has proposed increasing the minimum hourly rate from 13 euro 65 cent to 15 euro, while graduate early years managers would see their pay rise to over 20 euro an hour.

Unions are encouraging operators to accept the proposals, which they say will help with the recruitment and retention of staff.
