Education Minister Ruairi Quinn has delivered his address to members of the TUI in Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny this lunchtime.
He’s got a courteous reception there following appeals by the unions General Secretary after the events in Wexford yesterday where some ASTI members jeered and heckled the Minister during his speech.

Union heads have condemned the treatment by what they say was a minority of delegates calling it disrespectful.
Teacher at Kilkenny CBS Jim Ahearne is an ASTI member and was there.

He says such behaviour only deflects from the important matters they were there to discuss.
