Election posters spring up overnight with exactly 1 month to local & European elections

There’s exactly a month until we go to the polls for the local and European elections and some candidates haven’t wasted any time in making sure you know they’re looking for your votes.

Today is the first day that election hopefuls are allowed to put up posters and many have been busy overnight with the smiling faces of a range of candidates already looking down from telegraph poles and lamp posts across Carlow and Kilkenny.

On May 23rd we will be asked to cast our votes to select members for the brand new municipal authorities for Carlow and Kilkenny and those we want to represent Ireland South in the European Parliament.
